Zikir "La ilaha illallah" (tahlil) adalah kalimat tauhid tertinggi yang memiliki keutamaan luar biasa, di mana ia digambarkan sebagai zikir yang menembus langit hingga ke Arasy.
Ia bertindak sebagai pelindung daripada api neraka, kunci syurga, penghapus keburukan, dan menjadi penyebab kebaikan tercatat bagi pengamalnya.

Zikir tahlil diibaratkan zikir yang tidak dihalangi oleh sesuatu pun dari bawah Arasy untuk sampai kepada Allah, menandingi amalan-amalan lain.
Dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu, bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam bersabda:
'Tidaklah seorang hamba mengucapkan "Laa ilaaha illallah" secara ikhlas, melainkan dibukakan baginya pintu-pintu langit hingga sampai ke Arsy selama dijauhi dosa-dosa besar.'"
(HR. Tirmidzi no. 3590, dihasankan oleh Al-Albani dalam Shahih Jami' no. 5648)
The Hadith Reference: According to Sunan Ibn Majah (Hadith 3809) and Musnad Ahmad (18362),
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the words of glorification and praise revolve around the Throne, buzzing like bees.
The Specific Dhikr: The phrases mentioned in the narration are:
SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah)
Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah)
La ilaha illAllah (There is no god but Allah)
Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)
Purpose and Significance:
These dhikr buzz around the Throne, mentioning the person who recited them, acting as a reminder for them in the presence of Allah.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned this to encourage believers to maintain these remembrances, asking,
"Would one of you not like to have or continue to have something that remembers him [by the 'Arsh]?".
