AL QURAN .. SURAH AL ALAQ - RECITE IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD ..

The phrase

"Recite in the name of your Lord"

is actually the opening verse of Surah Al-Alaq

 (Chapter 96, Verse 1),

This specific verse marks the very first revelation given to the Prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel.

Clarifying the Two Surah

Surah Al-Alaq

(The Clot - Chapter 96):

Contains the exact words you mentioned:

"Recite in the name of your Lord who created"

(اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ).

Surah Al-Isra focuses on the Night Journey of the Prophet Muhammad.

Surah Al-Alaq (Verses 1-5)

These were the very first words of the Quran revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by the Angel Jibril (Gabriel).

Read!

In the name of your Lord Who created.

Created man from a clot.

Read!

And your Lord is the Most Generous.

Who taught by the pen.

Taught man that which he knew not.

Meaning:

This passage tells us to seek knowledge.

"Taught by the pen" means that writing and learning are special gifts from God.

Surah Al-Isra (Chapter 17)

If you meant Surah Al-Isra (The Night Journey), it focuses on the miraculous night travel of the Prophet from Makkah to Jerusalem.

 It teaches vital moral lessons:

Honoring parents:

Be kind and respectful to your mother and father in their old age.

Helping others:

Give to relatives, the poor, and travelers, but do not waste money.

Humility:

Do not walk on the earth with pride or arrogance

WALLAHU A'LAM ..
