THE VERSE OF THE THRONE - AYATUL KURSI ..

Ayatul Kursi 

(The Throne Verse)

 is the 255th verse of Surah al-Baqarah and is explicitly designated by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the greatest verse in the Holy Qur'an.

 It serves as a foundational declaration of Tawheed (the absolute oneness of Allah) and functions as a supreme spiritual shield for daily life.

 Muslims worldwide recite it regularly due to its unmatched rewards, profound protection, and heavy spiritual weight.

Core Virtues Proved by Sunnah

The Greatest Verse in the Qur'an:

 When the Prophet ﷺ asked Ubayy ibn Ka’b (RA) which verse of the Qur'an was the greatest, Ubayy answered with Ayatul Kursi. 

The Prophet ﷺ approved and struck him lightly on the chest, saying,

 "May knowledge be pleasant for you, O Abu'l-Mundhir!".

Greater Than Creation: 

It is narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (RA) that Allah has not created anything in the heavens or earth more magnificent than Ayatul Kursi, because it is the uncreated, perfect Speech of Allah.

Contains the Greatest Name:

 Islamic scholars note that it encompasses Ism al-A'zam (the Greatest Name of Allah)—specifically Al-Hayyu Al-Qayyum (The Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence)—through which prayers are answered.

Practical Benefits of Recitation

Guaranteed Entry to Paradise:

 The Prophet ﷺ stated, 

"Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi after every obligatory prayer, only death is keeping him from entering Jannah".

Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs entirely to Him.

No entity can intercede on behalf of another except by His explicit permission.

All-Encompassing Knowledge:

 He knows everything about the past, present, and ultimate future of His creation.

Limited Human Intellect:

 Mankind can only acquire knowledge that Allah chooses to reveal.

The Majestic Kursi:

 ALLAH Throne extends vastly across the entire universe.

Effortless Protection:

 Managing and guarding the vast universe causes Him absolutely no weariness or fatigue.

Supreme Transcendence:

 Concludes by declaring Him as the Most High and the Most Great.
