La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la syarika lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamdu, wahuwa 'ala kulli syai'in qadir.
Allahumma la mani'a lima a'thait, wala mu'thiya lima mana't, wala yanfa'u dzal-jaddi minka al-jadd.
Terjemahan Maksud
"Tiada Tuhan melainkan Allah Yang Esa, tiada sekutu bagi-Nya."
Sahih al-Bukhari 844
is a narration recorded in the Book of Call to Prayers (Adhaan) regarding a specific supplication (dhikr or dua) that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recited after every compulsory (fard) prayer.
The Hadith Text and Translation
• Narrator:
Warrad, the clerk of Al-Mughira bin Shu‘ba.
• Chain / Origin:
Al-Mughira dictated a letter to Mu‘awiya stating that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite the following after every compulsory prayer:
• Transliteration:
• English Translation:
"There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs the kingdom, and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things.
O Allah, none can prevent what You have given, and none can grant what You have prevented, and no wealth or fortune (dhal-jaddi) will benefit its owner against You."
Key Notes from the Hadith
• Meaning of Al-Jadd:
Al-Hasan al-Basri noted that the term al-jadd in this context refers to wealth, majesty, or prosperity (ghinan)—meaning that worldly riches or status cannot protect a person from Allah's decree or substitute for His pleasure.
• Context:
It highlights the complete dependence of a believer on Allah (ﷻ) immediately after finishing the obligatory daily prayers (Salah), acknowledging His exclusive control over giving and withholding.
