HADITH NARRATED BY UMM HANI .. SAYING SUBHANALLAH ,, ALHAMDULLILLAH ,, ALLAHU AKHBAR AND LA ILAHA ILLALLAH 100 TIMES EACH ...

Reciting

Subhanallah

(Glory be to Allah),

 Alhamdulillah

 (Praise be to Allah),

 Allahu Akbar

 (Allah is the Greatest), and

 La ilaha illallah

(There is no god but Allah)

100 times each carries immense rewards based on authentic and Hasan (good) hadiths from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Virtues of Each Phrase (100 Times)

• Subhanallah

(100 times):

Equivalent to freeing 100 slaves from the offspring of Isma'eel (Ishmael). In other narrations, reciting it 100 times in the morning and evening equals the reward of performing 100 Hajj.

• Alhamdulillah

(100 times):

Equivalent to providing 100 horses saddled with reins, ready for fighters in the cause of Allah

(or rewarded as if one has donated 100 horses).

• Allahu Akbar

(100 times):

Equivalent to offering 100 camels sacrificed for the sake of Allah or better than 100 accepted sacrifices.

• La ilaha illallah

(100 times):

Fills the space between the heavens and the earth, and on the Day of Judgment, no one brings a better deed than someone who said this—unless they said the same or more.

It also acts to erase sins.
General Virtues of the Four Words

• Best of Speech:

The Prophet ﷺ stated that these four phrases are the best of words, and it does not matter which one you begin with.

• Forgiveness of Sins:

 Reciting 33 times each

 (Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar)

after every obligatory prayer, and completing the hundred with

La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli shai'in Qadir,

results in having all sins forgiven—even if they are as abundant as the foam on the sea.

• Heavy on the Scales:

They are beloved to Allah and heavier on the scale of good deeds than anything over which the sun rises.

Umm Hani bint Abi Talib

(may Allah be pleased with her) came to Prophet Muhammad

(peace be upon him) and asked for a seated deed because she had grown old, weak, or heavy.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed her to recite the following:

• Subhanallah

(100 times):

Equivalent in reward to freeing 100 slaves from the offspring of Isma'il.

• Alhamdulillah

(100 times):

Equivalent in reward to 100 saddled and reined horses prepared in the cause of Allah.

• Allahu Akbar

(100 times):

Equivalent in reward to 100 accepted sacrificial camels.

• La ilaha illallah

(100 times):

Fills the space between the heavens and the earth, and no one's deed on that day is better than the person who says it, except someone who says the exact same or more.

Authenticity

• Status:

Classified as Hasan (good) by scholars such as Al-Mundhiri,

Al-Haythami, and Shaykh Al-Albani.

• Sources:

 Recorded in Musnad Ahmad

 (Hadith 26911 / 26956) and

Sunan Ibn Majah (Hadith 3810).

WALLAHU A'LAM ..
