"Subhan-Allahil-Azeem wa biHamdihi" .. A DATE PALM TREE IN JANNAH ..

Narrated Ibn `Umar (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said,

"Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree."

Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree but felt shy to answer the others then asked, "

"What is that tree, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?"

He replied, "

"It is the date-palm tree."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 61,

Book 3, Hadith 3)

In Islamic tradition, the date palm tree (Nakhl) in Jannah (Paradise) is a symbol of immense reward and is described as being far superior to those found in this world.

Description of the Trees

Physical Appearance:

The trunks of trees in Jannah are made of gold.

Fruit Quality:

The dates are described as being the size of large pitchers, whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, and softer than butter, with no pits.

Ease of Access:

Fruits are always within reach, whether a person is standing, sitting, or lying down. Each time a fruit is plucked, another immediately takes its place.

Immense Size:

Some trees in Paradise are so large that a rider could travel in their shade for 100 years without crossing them.

How to "Plant" Them
Various Hadiths mention simple acts of worship (dhikr) that result in a date palm being planted for a believer in Jannah:

Reciting Tasbih:

 Whoever says

 "Subhan-Allahil-Azeem wa biHamdihi"

(Glory is to Allah the Supreme and with His Praise) even once will have a date palm planted for them.

Charitable Acts:

Famous accounts, such as those of the companions Abu Dahdah and Abu Darda, describe them giving up entire worldly orchards (some with 600 trees) in exchange for the promise of a single, superior tree in Paradise.

WALLAHU A'LAM ..
