KELEBIHAN MEMBACA SURAH AL MA'UN ..

 Sedangkan dalam Tsawabul A’mal dinyatakan bahwa Abu Ja’far berkata:

 “Barangsiapa yang membaca Surat Al-Ma’un di dalam salat wajib dan sunahnya, maka ia termasuk orang yang Allah menerima salat dan puasanya. 

Dan ia juga tidak akan dihisab atas apa yang dilakukannya selama hidup di dunia.” 

Al-Ma’un sendiri artinya adalah “barang-barang yang berguna”.

 Surat yang terdiri atas 7 ayat ini termasuk dalam golongan Surat Makkiyyah dan diturunkan setelah Surat At-Takatsur.

 Ia diberi nama Surat Al-Ma’un karena merujuk pada lafaz al-ma’un yang terdapat pada ayat ketujuh.

Al-Ma'un (الماعون) translates to

 "Small Kindnesses", 

"Acts of Charity", or 

"Neighborly Needs."

 

It refers to the basic, everyday household items or simple acts of assistance (like lending a tool, sharing food, or offering help) that neighbors often request from one another.

The 107th chapter (Surah) of the Quran derives its name from this final word.

The Meaning in Context

The Surah uses the concept of

 "Al-Ma'un"

 to condemn individuals who are completely self-absorbed, miserly, and unwilling to perform even the smallest acts of selfless sacrifice.

The Warning:

 In Surah Al-Ma'un 107:7, 

Allah warns those who withhold

 "Al-Ma'un." 

Scholars explain that if a person is too stingy to lend small, everyday items, they will certainly be too selfish to fulfill major religious obligations like Zakat.

Core Message:

 The Surah bridges the gap between faith and social responsibility.

 It emphasizes that hollow, hypocritical prayer (done merely to be seen by others) is meaningless if the believer ignores the needs of orphans, the poor, and their community.
